We are dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive. We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Deputy Manager to join our team and help us make a difference in the lives of the children and young people we care for.
Our Values:
At ForeverCare, our core values guide everything we do:
  • Compassion: We approach every child and family with empathy and understanding, ensuring that their needs are at the heart of our care.

Together, we will create a warm, homely atmosphere that caters to the unique needs of each child, ensuring they receive the highest standards of physical, social, and emotional care—exceeding Ofsted guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Registered Manager to efficiently manage the home and resources, ensuring the best care for our children.
  • Lead the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans, promoting positive life skills and personal growth.
  • Assist in the admission process for new children, ensuring a smooth transition in line with our policies and procedures.
  • Provide a positive team environment by giving guidance, instruction, and support to Senior and Residential Practitioners, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage the home.
  • Ensure there is sufficient staff coverage at all times, maintaining the efficient and safe running of the home.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels within the team, ensuring all staff are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Identify and monitor staff training needs, ensuring that the skills and experience of the team align with the needs of the home.
  • Encourage individuality and independence among the children, promoting communication and interaction to broaden their life opportunities.
  • Ensure that all children receive proper medical, dental, and health care tailored to their individual needs, with regular reviews in place.
  • Comply with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and seek guidance from management when necessary.
  • Participate in reviews, meetings, and case conferences as required, collaborating with social services and other professionals to enhance care practices.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all children and staff, including fire safety precautions, to minimize risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring agencies, assisting in filling any vacancies within the home.
  • Take overall management responsibilities in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuity of care and support.
  • Conduct the induction of new staff alongside the Registered Manager, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Be available for on-call duties to provide advice, guidance, and support during emergency situations.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the company or Registered Manager to meet the changing needs of the home.
Hours:
This position requires a commitment of 40 to 48 hours per week, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed to ensure the smooth running of the home.
What We Offer:
  • Supportive Environment: Join a team that values your contributions and prioritises the well-being of both our teams and children.
  • Career Development: Opportunities for progression and professional growth, including access to training courses.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible working hours and a commitment to ensuring the team have time for themselves.
  • Wellness Benefits: Access to discounts at over 100 shopping outlets, same-day GP appointments, and a face-to-face professional counselling service.
  • Unique Perks: Enjoy a “Duvet Day” where one lucky team member wins a day off each month if they have perfect attendance!

Qualifications and Experience:
While a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care) is desirable, it is not essential as we provide in-house training. A minimum of 6 months of experience in a relevant field is preferred, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow with us. A transferable Adults and Children’s DBS is also desirable.
